Gardening in a Bucket is a project of the FOCUS Churches of Albany. Its purpose is to provide Food Pantry guests with the tools and supplies they need to grow their own vegetables. Interested guests will receive a pot or bucket with soil, seedlings, seed packets, and advice from an experienced gardener. We are also lining up Gardening in a Bucket for Kids. This is a combination art/gardening event which we take “on the road” to family homeless shelters, schools and other community groups. It is always a fun project, and volunteers are invited to help.

Donations of seedlings, seed packets, and other necessities are most welcome. Gardeners, if you are starting seeds, please consider donating some seedlings to the project.

Monetary donations will help pay for items we do not have. Please send them to FOCUS Churches of Albany, 275 State St, Albany, NY 12210.

If you would like to  donate any items, please call Becca at the FOCUS office at 443-0460 or email her at beccal@focuschurches.net.

To volunteer your time, please call Belinda at the FOCUS Churches of Albany office at 443-0460 or email her at belindaq@focuschurches.net. Thank you!
